Hands Off Kenosha Awarded $2,000 Indivisible GROW Grant
Hands Off Kenosha Awarded $2,000 Indivisible GROW Grant
Hands Off Kenosha has been awarded a $2,000 GROW Grant from Indivisible, a national grassroots network of local groups working to protect democracy and strengthen civic participation.
GROW Grants are designed to help local organizing groups expand their capacity by funding tools, materials, and infrastructure that allow volunteers to reach more people and build stronger community engagement.
Hands Off Kenosha will use the funding to create a Mobile Action & Outreach Kit to support volunteer organizing throughout Kenosha County.
The kit will include reusable outreach materials such as tables, tents, banners, signs, and laminated informational materials about Hands Off Kenosha. These resources will allow volunteers to quickly set up outreach spaces at rallies, community events, and tabling opportunities where residents can learn more about local organizing efforts and ways to get involved.
Having a dedicated outreach kit will help ensure that HOK events and community outreach efforts have a consistent and visible presence, while making it easier for volunteers to bring materials wherever community engagement is happening.
Once the Mobile Action & Outreach Kit has been developed and tested locally, Hands Off Kenosha hopes to share the model with other Indivisible groups across Wisconsin. The goal is to create a simple, repeatable outreach setup that can be easily used by volunteers in any community, allowing groups to quickly establish a welcoming and organized presence at events.
Hands Off Kenosha is a fully volunteer-run organization, and support like this helps provide the tools needed to continue growing grassroots organizing in our community.
We are grateful to Indivisible for investing in local groups working to strengthen democracy and community participation.
