Hands Off Kenosha Newsletter March 8-14

Thank you to everyone who attended our March 7 organizing meeting and continues to support Hands Off Kenosha. Here are this week’s updates:

No Kings 3: We The People, Will Win

Saturday, March 2812:00–3:00 PM Civic Center Park 900 57th St, Kenosha

Join us for a peaceful community event celebrating democracy and civic engagement.

The event will include:

• A democracy procession honoring figures and movements that defended democracy• Resistance singing with Singing Resistance Kenosha• A theatrical performance “We Will Win” by the Racine Pro-Democracy Players

We are still looking for volunteers, especially democracy sign carriers.

We are also looking for volunteers to pass out flyers around Kenosha to help promote the event at businesses, churches, and libraries. We have 100 flyers printed. If you’re willing to help distribute them, please let us know. You can hand them out on your own time.

Food Drive at No Kings

We will be collecting donations for the Kenosha Welcome Center.

Most needed items

• Peanut butter• Jelly• Mayo• Dry pasta• Spaghetti sauce• Canned tuna or chicken• Canned vegetables• Toilet paper• Hand soap• Toothpaste

Skit Rehearsals – “We Will Win”

The Racine Pro-Democracy Players are looking for volunteers who want to join in on the skit being performed at No Kings 3. These are their rehearsal dates ahead of the event. They’d love for anyone interested to come, join in, and have fun.

March 15 — 3:30 PM March 22 — 3:30 PM

St. Patrick’s Day Parade

Hands Off Kenosha will walk in the Kenosha St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

Saturday, March 14 — 11:00 AM

Route: 50th St & 7th Ave → Library Park

Staging Area: Simmons Island Boat Launch411 45th St

Arrive by 10:30 AM and look for the Division 3 sign.
