Helping Our Neighbors

Hands Off Kenosha is a volunteer-led community organization. While we organize events and civic engagement efforts, we also believe in supporting the organizations already doing critical work in our community.Below are trusted local organizations serving Kenosha County and surrounding communities. If you are able, please consider donating, volunteering, or sharing their work.

Kenosha Welcome Center

The Kenosha Welcome Center provides support to individuals experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity. They offer meals, essential supplies, and connections to housing and support services.

The Shalom Center

The Shalom Center provides food assistance, housing support, and essential services to individuals and families experiencing poverty in Kenosha.

• Volunteer in the kitchen or pantry

The Sharing Center – Trevor, WI

The Sharing Center serves families in western Kenosha County and nearby

communities by providing food assistance, clothing, and emergency support.

SOS – Supporters of Shelter

Supporters of Shelter (SOS) works to assist individuals and families experiencing homelessness in Kenosha County by helping connect people with emergency shelter and resources.

• Volunteer to assist with outreach efforts
• Support local shelter initiatives

Veterans Outreach of Wisconsin

Veterans Outreach of Wisconsin supports veterans in need by providing housing assistance, food, clothing, and connections to services.

Ways to Help:
• Donate clothing or household goods
• Volunteer
• Financial donations

Kenosha Public Library Little Free Food Pantries

Several Kenosha Public Library locations host Little Free Food Pantries where

community members can take or leave food items at any time.

These pantries help neighbors facing food insecurity and are available 24/7.

• Drop off canned goods
• Donate non-perishable food items
• Check the pantries regularly and restock when possible
